Sharon Ann's Story
Hi everyone!! It is hard to believe that we all graduated 56 years ago.
I have had a wonderful and rewarding life since graduation. I attended the University of Florida where I met my wonderful husband of 55 years and have
two wonderful children, a son and a daughter, and 4 very active grandsons.
The first few years of our marriage, we traveled and lived in several places, including the Philippine Islands. We have also had the privilege of living in Kentucky, Nebraska, Tennessee, and North Carolina. We are now happily retired in Georgia..
After our children left the nest, I went back to school and became certified as a travel consultant. I then worked as a corporate travel consultant for 13 years.
I have always been thankful for the education I received at DuPont. We had wonderful teachers there, who really became a blessing in college. Being in the ban...Expand for more
d taught us all great discipline and a great appreciation for all forms of music.
It was a great surprise to receive a postcard about our reunion in 2012 from Tommy Coley. Tommy and I were in the second grade together at Hendricks Avenue School ! Many of you were in my confirmation class at St Mark's Lutheran Church on Hendricks Ave. Not many children get to live in the same town throughout their childhood as most of us did. We have indeed been blessed!!
As a family, we have had many wonderful experiences together, as well as difficult times. As a cancer survivor, I have learned to appreciate every moment of the day and find looking back on my childhood I have many fond memories. I am so happy that most of you have been a part of my life and I hope to be able to see many of you in the future.
Blessings to each of you,
Sharon Ann Maison Johnson
